JioHotstar Cricket Guide (India)
JioHotstar is the India streaming app JioStar uses when it holds a cricket right. Star Sports is the TV side. This page is what those rights cover. It does not repeat the IPL free-preview answer. That is on Is IPL free on JioHotstar?.
Plans change. Check the app, or your Jio, Airtel or Vi pack, before you pay. This page is for viewers in India. It is not a live score page. JioHotstar does not replace the licensed broadcaster in another country.

An end date after those events is not restated here, because the December note did not give one. Moneycontrol, 13 Dec 2025 ↗; ICC, 5 Feb 2026 ↗; ICC, 6 Jun 2026 ↗ · Checked 29 Sep 2026 |
| India home internationals and BCCI domestic matches | The BCCI awarded media rights for international and domestic matches from September 2023 to March 2028 to Viacom18, on 31 August 2023. Unverified that every 2026 bilateral is inside the JioHotstar app, because the BCCI release predates that app name. BCCI, 31 Aug 2023 ↗; merger described by Moneycontrol ↗ · Checked 29 Sep 2026 |

Questions
Is all cricket in India on JioHotstar?
No. We can tie JioHotstar by name to the IPL FAQ and to the two 2026 ICC T20 World Cups. BCCI matches from September 2023 to March 2028 were awarded to Viacom18. That the current app still carries all of them is Unverified on this page.
Did JioStar drop its ICC deal before the 2026 World Cup?
ICC and JioStar said no. On 13 December 2025 both said the India agreement remained fully in force. The ICC’s later broadcast releases still named JioStar for both 2026 T20 World Cups.
Can I watch JioHotstar cricket outside India?
Not as a substitute for the local rightsholder. Rights are sold by country. Use Sky or TNT in the UK, Willow in the USA, and the Australia split on where to watch cricket in Australia.
Is the Ashes on JioHotstar?
Listing pending. We did not find a source.
Where do I check before paying?
The JioHotstar app, and your mobile operator if you are relying on a recharge bundle. The IPL FAQ explains those bundles for the IPL. It is not a promise that the same pack includes every other series.
