Domestic Cricket 2026-27: Where to Watch the Sheffield Shield, Ranji Trophy and More
Domestic first-class cricket is where Test players are made, and much of it is streamed free by the boards themselves. Each competition below has its own page with dates, broadcasters and sources.
Australia: the 125th Sheffield Shield began on 7 October 2026. Each state plays ten matches, six before the BBL break and four after, and the top two meet in a five-day final from 25 to 29 March 2027. South Australia are the two-time reigning champions, and their first match was a rematch of last season's final, against Victoria at Junction Oval. Cricket Australia streams every match, and Fox Cricket adds six regular-season matches and the final on TV.
India: the Ranji Trophy starts on 11 October 2026 and is split around the white-ball season, with phase one to 5 November, then the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy, and phase two from 17 January 2027. The Elite division's knockouts run from 9 February to 3 March 2027.
Pakistan: the first-class President's Trophy Grade-I has 29 matches over seven rounds from 12 September to 18 October 2026. Tapmad's streaming deal for the 2026-27 season also covers the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Gold and Silver, the National Champions Cup and the National T20 Cup.
Still to come: New Zealand's Plunket Shield, South Africa's CSA 4-Day Series and England's County Championship will be added when their broadcasts are announced. The County Championship's 2026 season ended on 27 September.
