Privacy Policy
Cricket On Air is a free listings guide. We don't run user accounts, and we don't ask for your address or payment details. The only name we ever hold is one you choose to put on a comment.
What we collect
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which listings and guides are useful: pages visited, approximate region, device type and the referring site. In the UK, the EU/EEA and Switzerland, nothing is sent to Google until you choose "Consent" in the cookie message, and you can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page. Elsewhere analytics is on; you can turn it off for this browser at any time (and back on). We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation in Analytics.
- Your country, to show the right channels. Our host, Cloudflare, tells the site which country you're visiting from, so we can pre-select it. We don't store your IP address. The country you pick, and whether you've hidden the mascot, are saved in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers.
- Cookies. Our cookie message is Google's own, shown through Google AdSense, and it stores your choice. In the UK, the EU/EEA and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you allow them. In US states with privacy laws, the same message lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for ads. Your browser can block or delete cookies at any time; the listings still work.
- Comments. If you post a comment, we store the name you give, your comment, the page it's on and the time. We don't ask for your email and don't store your IP address. Every comment is checked before it appears. To have one removed, email hello@cricketonair.com.
- Spam protection. When you start writing a comment, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that your browser is a real person's. Cloudflare processes that check under its own privacy policy; it isn't loaded on pages until you use the comment form.
- Advertising. Cricket On Air may show ads served by Google AdSense to keep the site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet, and to measure how ads perform. Where the law requires it (for example in the UK and EU), these cookies are set only if you allow them in the cookie message; if you don't, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings ↗, and opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at www.aboutads.info ↗. How Google uses data from sites that show its ads is explained at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites ↗.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us about a listing correction or anything else, we keep your message only as long as needed to handle it.
What we don't do
- No accounts and no profiles of our own.
- We don't sell or rent personal data, and we don't hand any to data brokers. Advertising cookies set by Google, described above, are Google's, under Google's policies.
- We don't collect payment information. Subscriptions happen on the broadcasters' own sites, and the "Buy me a coffee" link goes to PayPal, which has its own privacy policy.
Third parties
Google (Analytics, AdSense and the cookie message) and Cloudflare (hosting and Turnstile) process data as described above, each under its own privacy policy. Links to broadcasters and streaming services take you to their sites, which have their own privacy policies. If we later run clearly labelled affiliate links, clicking one may set the merchant's cookie so a purchase can be attributed. That's covered in our affiliate disclosure.
Your rights and questions
For any privacy question, or to ask what we hold about you, email hello@cricketonair.com.
If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here.
